Again, very little news, fact or fabricated, on the transfer front but with the Euro championship's done and dusted things will undoubtedly pick up when the players report back for pre-season training later this week.
The Barry saga continues and the player has been sanctioned by the club after giving an unauthorised interview to the News of the World last weekend. The piece was aimed squarely at manager O'Neill who has not taken kindly to the details, Barry claiming that the gaffer has no time to discuss the situation.
The player has been ordered not to report for pre-season training on Thursday and it is rather obvious that the player will soon be on his way out.
The bindippers have reportedly tabled a "final" offer of £17M.
MON is set to raid Celtic again, if speculation is to be believed, to bring left-back Lee Naylor to the Midlands as cover for Freddie Bouma.
A top goalie is required and yesterday it was alleged that Paul Robinson was the man and he would be signing within 48 hours for £5M.
Just to muddy the waters, the Guardian suggests that West Ham's Robert Green is now in the cross-hairs for a fee of £6M.

No concrete transfer action by the Villa but with the ongoing Euro Championships there has been very little activity by the other 19 Premier clubs either.
Even the rumour mill went cool for a week or so but the gossip-mongers are working as usual this week.
The Barry to the red-scouse saga continues with Benitez apparently demanding more funds from the warring co-owners of the bindippers.
Let’s start with one rumour that the claret and blue faithful will hope is way wide of the mark.
Aston Villa are keen on out of favour Everton striker Andy Johnson and are ready to table a £7m bid.
Steve Sidwell is demanding a Chelsea pay-off before joining Aston Villa.
Aston Villa have had a £15m bid for David Bentley rejected by Blackburn Rovers.
However, new Rovers manager Paul Ince is trying to persuade the ex-Arsenal man to stay at Ewood Park.
MON has made enquiries to Chelsea with a view to buying out of favour Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Anton Ferdinand is also thought to be a target of O-Neill. The Villa are allegedly prepared to offer £6m but the ‘Ammers want in the region of £8m.
Here’s a strange one, that at first glance has nothing to do with the Villa;
Fulham could trade midfielder Jimmy Bullard for Middlesbrough defender Luke Young.
Two players that have been linked to the Villa, but now a proposed move for each in opposite directions.
If they want away or their respective clubs want rid, then capturing both might seem like a good bit of business, IMO.
Strangely, consisering our dire need for a No.1 'keeper, there are no rumours linking us with a shot-stopper.
Marlon Harewood is keen to stay at the Villa despite interest from QPR, Fulham and premier new boys Stoke.

Liverpool are reportedly in the throes of making a fourth bid for Gareth Barry and a deal is expected to be concluded this week.
Don’t buckle now MON. Hold our for what you (and we) think he’s worth.
There are no rumours of impending transfers “in” of note this weekend which is quite disappointing and maybe an eerie indication that this year’s transfer deals might be similar to the mad rush at the end of last summer.
Not good when the InterToto begins in mid-July.
Next season kick’s off on Saturday 16th August with the Villa at home to Man City and new manager Mark Hughes.
A trip to new boys Stoke City on Saturday 23rd is followed by a visit from the Scallies and (probably) then Old Boy Gareth Barry a week later.
Of particular interest are the two games against the promoted Baggies; away September 29th with the reverse encounter January 10th.
These dates and times subject to change courtesy of the to-be-announced Sky TV schedule.
Villa round out the season at home to the Geordies on May 24th.

The Villa have admitted that Gareth Barry has expressed his desire to leave the club and the haggling has begun in earnest.
Liverpool’s second offer, apparently, has been rejected out of hand by Martin O’Neill.
Reports vary, but indicate that the offer was between £13M and £15M, and the same goes for the supposed asking price; £18M to £20M.
We certainly want top-dollar for the influential skipper.
No firm news from B6 on comings and going’s other than GB, but alleged targets over the past few days include Spurs attacking right-back Pascal Chimbonda, who does not fit in with the new manager’s future plans at White Hart Lane.
The man who almost single handedly saved The Cottagers from the drop, Jimmy Bullard, has also been discussed, according to numerous outlets. Of course we are not the only club wanting to sign the ex-Wigan man.
Ex-Villa loan player James Milner might also be on the radar but the red scousers are also in the hunt. However, it is known that with the internal ownership wrangles, Benitez does not have a pile of ready cash available. That would leave Yossi Benauyoun surplus to requirements who has hinted he wants to move-on anyway for more regular football.
Hot off the radar is Villa’s “interest” in Wolves ‘keeper Wayne Hennesy, but a suggested fee in the region of £6M seems a little exorbitant.
See the Discussion Board for more “snippets” and rumours. Join up and have your say during the lull that is the off-season.
