A super Villa performance sees an excellent point taken from Stamford Bridge and the unbeaten run continue. What was a valuable point could so easily have been all three but a draw was, on the whole, a fair result.
Martin O'Neill fielded an unchanged side with Baros and Laursen on the bench once again.

From soccernet:-
Randy Lerner has increased his holding in Aston Villa to over 90 per cent of all shares in the club and now intends to exercise his right to compulsorily purchase the remainder as soon as possible.
The American officially became chairman of the club last week in place of Doug Ellis and today a statement to the Stock Exchange by Lerner's company, Reform Acquisitions Limited, confirmed he had passed the point where he is entitled to complete a total buy-out.
The statement from RAL read: 'RAL has now received valid acceptances of the offer in respect of more than 90 per cent of the Aston Villa shares to which the offer relates.
'Accordingly, RAL has today issued notices under Schedule 2 to the Takeovers Directive (Interim Implementation) Regulations 2006 to those Aston Villa shareholders who have not already accepted the offer, informing them that it now intends to exercise its rights to acquire compulsorily all the Aston Villa shares outstanding at the expiry of the requisite notice period.
'In the meantime, the offer remains open for acceptance.'
Lerner, who also owns NFL franchise Cleveland Browns, is expected to de-list Villa from the Stock Exchange and run the club as a private company.

From the BBC website:-
Aston Villa's injury-prone defender Mark Delaney faces another six weeks out after having knee surgery.
Delaney looked to be over the knee ligament injury that ruined last season when he played for Wales in mid-August.
But the 30-year-old, who has yet to play for Villa this season, felt more discomfort earlier this month and has now opted for another operation.
"He had his cartilage trimmed so he'll be out for a few weeks," said Villa boss Martin O'Neill.
"It is better sorting it out now than waiting around. He's had terrible luck."
Delaney has not yet played for Villa under his new boss O'Neill, managing only to make the substitute's bench for the Barclays Premiership game with Newcastle last month before the injury curse struck again.
The former Cardiff City defender is in the final year of his current deal with Villa, but O'Neill is prepared to leave the door open for him to prove himself this season to earn a new contract.
"I think that everything will depend on him playing pretty regularly in the first team, which he is capable of doing," O'Neill added.
"A fit Mark Delaney would be an asset to us, but I think at this stage, in September, it is too early for me to think what might happen."
A succession on knee problems limited Delaney to just 16 club games last season.
His last appearance for the club was in the FA Cup fifth round match against Manchester City in February.
In other news, Lee Hendrie has been linked with a two-month loan spell at Crystal Palace or Queens Park Rangers.
Both managers, Peter Taylor and John Gregory respectively know the midfielder well. Gregory , from his time as Villa boss and Taylor selected Hendrie for the England U21 squad many moons ago.
